Cloud authentication for the print and file service

When you install the Customizable Report Pack in your cloud environment, a special type of user is created. The user is called a Microsoft Entra Application, and this type of user is meant for integration. It enables integration between Business Central and external applications such as direct print.

Microsoft Entra Applications

You can find your Microsoft Entra Applications in Business Central if you search for AAD or Entra applications.

Select the application called Integration with ForNAV Direct Print.

The application should have the permission set called FORNAV DIRPRT SVC. Make sure it has the permission set and the Company field is blank.

Grant consent

Before a Microsoft Entra Application can integrate with Business Central, you must grant consent. This process involves that an administrative user of your Active Directory logs-in and accepts this type of integration. Please note that this may be a different person that the Business Central administrator.

Reset the integration

If you suspect that something is not configured correctly, you can reset the integration user from the direct print setup page
